is it true before "reset safari" deleted your bookmarks?

"safari>reset safari" would delete bookmarks too?

when was this changed? i can't even believe it did that, the idea is so ridiculous.

I don't have this problem with 2.04.

i'm using the latest.

i was just reading posts a year old of people saying that resetting safari reset the bookmarks, which astonished me. i wasn't referring to what i'm using right now.

I honestly don't remember, but I found this page on the Apple site for 1.2 and it doesn't mention losing bookmarks. If resets did lose bookmarks at some stage then it was pre-1.2.

Not that I recall - certainly not since 10.3.2 at the latest.

I'd doubt it though unless it was a very early bug in the first version but I'd have guessed any developer would have noticed it in beta.

I'm using 2.0.4 and I have just 'Reset'.

All my bookmarks are still intact.

If your worried clear your Cache, remove cookies, and clear history manually.

i noticed that too.

actually i reset Safari not that long ago, and i expected it to delete my bookmarks. i suppose i just wanted a fresh start.

Been surfing with Safari since 10.2 and never lost a bookmark - i reset Safari frequently like once a month.
