Is it true that apple got rid of the matte finish and is only selling glossy

I overheard that apple either already got rid of the matte finish and is only selling glossy... or they are going to start doign that.


I love using computers in bright rooms and hate glossy finishes.

Anyone give me more insight to this?

Matte (i.e. Antiglare) is still an option on 15" and 17" MacBook Pros.

They got rid of it on the notebooks then people complained and they brought it back for $50 fee.

Anti-glare used to be available on iMacs. No more.

Of course you can, even from the Apple Store directly. just an extra 49$ and you're good to go. Only on the high end 15" and the 17" though.

You can get it on the low end 15" as well.

Yes, you can, I was speaking from the Apple Store's perspective. Not online, in store. But, then again, it may be different from store to store. Mine only had the high end matte/glossy.
