I have read that only the 2g iPhone is going to be unlocked because when the 3g iPhone comes out there are going to require it to be registered in the AT&T store or the Apple retail store. Is this true or no? What i manly am saying is the 2g iPhone going to be the only one that is going to be unlockable for other carriers??:rolleyes:

They will in all likelihood be able to be unlocked, getting hold of one in the US not tied to AT&T to unlock will be quite another matter as they are going to require in-store activation against an AT&T tariff.

There are a million other threads on this, look around.
