Most of us obviously will replace battery at Apple Store when iPhone battery health is not good. Some has Apple care , Some don't but will go Apple store replace it.

Whereas some go DIY , some go those 3rd party shop replace.

My Question here is preferring doing battery replacement at Apple store even those 3rd party shop. Some claim even those replace their battery at Apple store. They mention once the iPhone been open for battery replacement and seal back. It will not say 100 percent water resistant like been seal back in Factory.

Technically, it should be. But just like any other work, it depends on the person performing the work. Did the Apple technician spend time and effort cleaning out the old adhesive? That’s the most important part in ensuring the new seal sticks.

Ironically, some non-AASP third party service stores use a machine to test for leaks after service while Apple doesn’t.
