Is it true with the new WatchOS I can set a custom text message tone and phone call ringtone?

For years I’ve been using two distinct custom tones on my iPhone for incoming text messages and phone calls, respectively.

I heard with the new WatchOs that you can set custom tones for each but wanted to verify that here before upgrading away from my S4 AW.

I purchased both tones from iTunes if that matters.

You can’t set custom ones but you can now select from a list of built-in ones. Strangely, they are not the same as you get on the phone in most instances. However, I do appreciate we can finally have some choice.

You can't set custom ring tone but there is more choices to pick from when it comes to ring tones and notification sounds.

One thing is that I am not sure if it is a good idea to put a new OS on an old watch. Since you can't revert back to the old OS I would suggest go to a retail location and play with the new watch OS before you upgrade.
