Overall, the most I've used my iPad is for surfing the Internet, some random doodles on some apps, reading the Scott Pilgrim series, and listening to music.

I don't really play games and I also don't think I'm using my iPad to it's full potential (like GarageBand or reading books)

So I'm sort of waiting for college to start so that I can hopefully see if this changes.

Anyone have this kind of problem?

I guess I'm just thinking that since I see people using full advantage of their investment while I'm sort of just doing regular stuff.

Games is full advantage?
I played Angry Birds until I got all the golden eggs, but I don't play other games

I use my iPad for reading, surfing, email and a host of things for work
I never worry about what other people are doing with their gadgets

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

I don't use mine for games either. Mine is mostly for Facebook/twitter, Internet, some light photo work and posting to my various blogs.

Same stuff I do on my iPhone, only it's much easier with a larger screen.

I think there are a lot of people who don't do everything their iPad is capable of. My view is just use it how you please!

I don't think it's wierd. I doubt most people use all the functionality of the iPad. For example, I don't keep any music on my iPad. I always have my iPhone w/ me and I just don't need that functionality on my iPad - If you don't play games, don't worry about it. If you ever feel like playing a game on it, there's more than enough to choose from.

You're not alone. I never play games on mine either. I primarily use it for surfing the web, e-mailing, watching videos and sometimes blogging. Like the poster said above, use the iPad for what you need.

The only game i use on iPad is X-Plane; ah: end Infinite Blade; for all others games i have the iP4 is more suitable. The rest in on iPad is same as many: mail, reading, kindle, Citrix/RDP

Yes. It is weird. Start playing games. Now! Words with friends is a good place to start. Fruit ninja and air hockey are fun as well. I may get the paid versions soon.

I've never been too interested in games neither. Simple games like Tetris are decent, but I don't have any installed on my iPad. I do, however, have many news and magazine applications.

I really do not see why there is a problem that you do not play games on the iPad!
I don't play much games myself, perhaps 10 minutes of Angry Birds a week, and don't see any problems with that. Mainly bough it to browse the web, play music, e-mail and play movies.

Don't worry, and use it for whatever you like.

you do realize there are people who bought the iPad solely to play games on, right?
Are they weird? My boyfriend (who I met in the iPad launch line ) bought his just to play games on. Sure, he checks his email every now and then on it, but he bought the device for it's gaming capability. He's got a desktop and a MBP. Gamers are always into the latest gaming platforms. Different strokes for different folks.

I bought mine because I fly a lot and hate lugging my laptop around, and also because checking my email every morning on the tiny iPhone 4 screen got really tiresome. The only games I had prior to the iPad were angry birds, scrabble, tetris and UNO. Now...oh man...I've got Modern Combat 2, Superbrothers: Sword and Swocery, Order and Chaos, Adrenaline: Asphalt 2, Real Racing HD, Dungeon Defenders, Dead Space, NOVA, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Sonic Racing, and plenty more I can't think of. I use my iPad for gaming, music, music making, watching episodes of Tosh.0 and Southpark on Hulu, and responding to emails.

I bought a ton of games but I never play them. Don't feel bad. At least you haven't wasted money. In my case I want to play them, but just can't get past the fact that it has no physical buttons.

Same here. Words with friends does get play. Still waiting for something I really like.

Out of 174 apps on my 32GB, i have 83 Games.
So yeah, to me you definitely you have a "problem" there

Wow. You should get rid of it then.

I use it mostly for work (manuals in Goodreader, invoicing and such in Numbers, contracts and reports in Pages, project planning and coordination in Wiki Edit)

I also use it for keeping in touch with friends in Facebook/LinkedIn and with FaceTime. News, and forums (like MacRumors) is another thing I use iPad for a lot.

I should also mention DropBox, as it has had a big impact on how I use iPad.

I'm with the opening poster - not doing much with Games at all.

Yep, the iPad is a touch console, you can get some good games like mirrors edge and real racing HD.
