Hi, just wondering with this information is it worth me getting a new MacBook Pro? This one is a 2012 that has an apple replacement battery in. I use it at uni a lot mostly using FCP and Adobe Lightroom and Cinema 4D R19

A lot depends upon what you use your MBP for. if it's for just surfing and email, then probably not. If you do photo editing with something like Lightroom or Photoshop, or use Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier, then most definitely you'd benefit.

I use it for FCP and Lightroom a lot. I forgot to add it into the thread.

FYI - I have a late 2013 15" MBP. Just got the base model 2018 15" MBP - yeah....big difference between 4 cores and 6 cores. It's like comparing a straight 4 cylinder engine to a turbo charged V6
