I would also do a restore as a new device. Also don’t load it up with any extra apps and see how it works. You 8 should not be slow unless you have installed something on it that is running badly.

Ok I’ll do that when I get home. Apple doesn’t have any Genius appt available for couple days. Thanks

50% of the time I just walk in. Someone allways flakes or cancels at the last min. I have never been turned away. To be fair I own more Apple products than the average customer so your mileage may vary.
