Is it worth it coming from an M1?

So I am trying to do a side project where I need to record some video 1440p/1080p maybe 4K eventually from a device to a Mac M1 I have. I was thinking of upgrading but the Apple cost to go to a future proofed M4 Pro 24gb 1tb is like 1700.00. will this M1 work for video editing on a smaller scale and youtube stuff? Or will it be a very long and painful process using the M1?

Also can someone recommend me a good mechanical gaming keyboard for MAC's. All the store ones say support macs but the buttons do not have the images etc. and I get confused.

It sounds like you haven't started doing any work with the M1 machine yet? Perhaps try doing stuff with it, and then if it's not good enough for what you want to do, think about upgrading.
