Hi all,
I'm an Apple Fanboy who is on a budget. I am interested in getting an iPhone, so is it worth it to get the 5c?

The 5c is still a good device but if your budget allows bumping up to a 5s would be a better way to go. With the 5s you would get a faster processor that's 64 bit, Touch ID and a better camera that can shoot slo-mo video.

I'd go for a 5S. I bought a 32GB Space Grey from eBay for $330 USD that was basically brand new. Awesome phone; my second favorite behind the iPhone 4.

I have a 6 now, but sometimes I wish I still had that 5S.

In terms of US$, I'd consider the 5c at $250 or less. For $300+, I'd go with at least 5s. For $500, you should be able to buy a used iPhone 6. :)

Not sure how prices compare in Canada.

iPhone 6 good used. 600-650 should be able to.

Since our dollar dropped and USD got stronger, our pricing kinda sucks right now tbh.

Not for your price range. You could get a good used 5s for that price. The 5c can be had used, unlocked for around 170-190 USD on eBay right now.

I think it all depends on why you're interested in getting an iPhone. I've been happy with my 5C. The 8GB model seems to be the most widely available now, but you'll want at least 16GB.

Don't they have contract discount options in Canada? If 300-500 is your budget, with a contract, you should be able to get anything from a 5C to a 6.

It would certainly be more worthwhile to get a used 5s since it's also more likely to get more ios updates than the 5c.
