iPod touch Is it worth it?

i am looking at buying an iPod Touch.
i am not completely sure how many GBs i will need.
i will mainly use it for surfing the internet, mostly forums and AIM.
also, buying/listening to songs.
how many GBs do you think i will need?
is buying the 16/36GB worth the money if i won't be doing much on it?
i have seen the thread about rumors of price cuts, and i am thinking of waiting until the 'new iPod Touch' comes out.
i have to pay for it with my own money, and since i am a teen, this won't be very easy.
also, i am going to be taking a trip to China in late November, and i was also wondering, will my iPod Touch work in China?

The amount of storage you will need on your ipod touch depends on a few things.
1. Music Library
2. Video Library
3. Podcasts

also remember that you can load up and ipod touch with tons of apps which will also take storage.
As a teenager myself i understand it is hard to get money when having to pay for your own tech. Wait and see if the prices drop (more then likely the should.)

And lastly your ipod should work fine in china. wifi is a standard and if they have it, it more then likely will work.

i have a few hundred songs, no videos and no podcasts.
i am most likely going to wait until prices drop.
good, because i need something to do on that plane ride!

If you decide to buy anything.... wait until September 9th. Thats when the new iPod touches come out, so I'd just wait.
 
You should also take into consideration that maybe you WILL want to put videos on it. Just a thought.
 
Yeah, good idea to wait til after the 9th. Depending on (if any) price drops, I would recommend a 16 gig, which is what I have. Its great for storing movies for long trips and being able to put as many Apps on as you'd like. I'd rather have too much space than not enough.

yeah, if the price drops, i will probably get the 16GB.
just to be safe.
