I usually put the latest OS on my machines but am thinking that there may not be much to gain and possibly something to lose (some apps may bot work) in going from Monterey to Ventura on a 2018 i7 Mac Mini.

If the performance is better and Safari and Mail better that could sway me.

Any thoughts.

I have an i5 mini and I’ve got the same question op! Wondering how it runs on intel machines. Monterey didn’t interest me but Ventura does. But i wouldn’t put it past Apple to cripple intel machines with this. Hoping someone has bit the bullet

So far Big Sur is flawless and no real issues aside from the normal glitches

I've also got a 2018 i7 Intel Mac mini on macOS 12.6.1 and I think I'll be holding off. I've also got a 2020 M1 MBP, though, that IS on Ventura. Considering how buggy it's been for me there, that's what's keeping me from upgrading the mini. I'm sure it's something related to the ARM side of things, but who knows. I use my mini as a Channels/DVR Server mainly, but also sometimes for work. I can do my work things fine on the laptop, but I think I'm going to hold off until 13.1 comes out in a few weeks...

Considering it actually runs better in some aspects than Monterey on my 2012 Mac Mini, I'd be surprised if it runs worse than Monterey on yours

I have installed Ventura on two intel iMacs (2017 -2020) from friends (on an external Samsung SSD T7) and they have no issues.

Running Ventura on my Intel iMac i9 from 2019. No issues at all so far.

New system preferences menu needs some time to adapt (still not sure if I like it). And please read what they kicked out of the GUI in Ventura. Please search here, because some things I never used and therefore don't miss.
