Is it worth to jailbroke now...convince me please!!!

Guys,
I am thinking to jailbroke my iPhone 3G after this update. Is that make me able to use Skype over 3G and record movies? What else is great there on dark side I heard that Slingplayer will be streaming over 3G as well? Sorry but never pay attention to this but since I won't upgrade iPhone to 3GS I want squeeze everything out possible from 3G then.
I wonder if O2 in UK can find out about it. Is it worth it and where should I start from?

The main things I use mine for are Intelliscreen, Changing Default Wallpapers/Having Wallpaper on during app screen, Quick settings change using SBSettings, custom ringtones, and custom SMS tones.
