I'm mostly worried about the CS5 programs, but I've also heard that Lion is somewhat slower than Snow Leopard...
 
The only time Lion feels slower for me is when booting up. Everything else is faster than Snow Leopard. It feels polished and well put-together, even if it doesn't offer anything revolutionary. As long as the applications you need are compatible I see no reason to wait.
