Is it worth upgrading to 6gb ram on a new 13in MBP

Advice please!!!

Ordered a bran new MBP base model 13in.

Already decided to upgrade HDD to 500gb butthinking about ram. Is it worth going from the base 4gb to 6gb??? Budget/wife won't alllow me to go to8gb.

Ultimately will be using this as a desktop replacement, will be photo editing (not cs but pse). Streaming alot and general desktop type use

what do people think? Stick with 4gb upgrade to 6gb or fight for 8gb???

Stick with 4GB for now and see if that is sufficient, as I guess it will be more than so. You can always upgrade later to 6GB or 8GB when the prices come down.

I wouldn't upgrade. Use the saved money and take Budget/wife out for dinner instead. Wife happy -> you happy.

Good decision, 4GB should be fine for most tasks, if you really want a speed increase you should look into getting a SSD rather than increasing the ram.
