Mine is the one with four thunderbolt ports and 8gb 512gb of storage. This thing flies. If I am happy with the keyboard ( I have the 2019 one on there from a keyboard replacement) is there any reason to upgrade?

depend on your reason and purspose.
somebody upgrade their stuff because they like the new one.
someone else upgrade for their needs
and other maybe upgrade because the old one maybe will die soon.

im not sure 2020 will have significant (performance) from 2019 model :D

I have a 2018 13" and I think I'm going to pass on the 2020. I don't even have complaints about the screen size or really anything else about the new models. I think they're a good upgrade, just not quite enough to make switching from the 2018 worthwhile.

Your keyboard WILL fail you one day.
I would jump ship just for the better keyboard, having that 4 years of coverage doesnt help if you're out of system for two weeks.

If money is no concern to you, then sure by all means upgrade. But if you are looking to be prudent, especially in these times, it makes sense to use your tool (the computer) until it is no longer able to do the tasks you want it to and only then upgrade to whatever is available in the market at that point of time (keep backups all along).

Strictly speaking probably not, but to me I’m upgrading from my 2018 i7 to the 2020 i7 10th-gen as I think the small upgrades in most components make for a more refined/fluid experience as I run multiple VMs at the same time.

As far as I can see I’m getting an upgrade on CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD (write speed is up from 2.2GBps to 3.0GBps), Keyboard and Atmos-playback speakers.

Not a mind-blowing upgrade but like a nice ‘S’ upgrade to me 🙂
