Is it yet possible to unlock my iphone 3g? with 4.2?

i still don't quite understand if i can unlock the 3g i have. i updated it thought itunes, so im sure the baseband has changed, but how can i still unlock it?

You can but will have to install a more complicated hack that will update your iphones baseband to the ipads version and you will most likelly lose your GPS functionality.

Limerain is a JB not an unlock hack.
Not sure if The Dev team will release a newer or better unlock but I think they're now working on the iphone 4 unlock.

For iphone 3G is always untethered.
Tethered for now is just the i4 and new bootrom 3GS.

Make sure you checked updated to ipad baseband if you want to unlock.
