iPod touch Is itunes charging me for the update (I know it cost money)

I put my ipod in DFU mode cause of a messed up jailbreaking attempt. Before this i got the 2.0 update for free from a torrent. Now i plug my ipod into my dads dell laptop and i click restore and it says downloading 2.0 software. I am not sure if its making me pay for it or not cause there is no itunes account signed in or anything and i dont want to be charged
