I was recently thinking whether I should Jailbreak or not...

- Since the release of iPhone OS 2.0 there has been no need for Jailbroken Apps. (Although there is a way to get paid apps for free)

- Some people say that Jailbreaking makes your iPhone a bit more sluggish.

- Jailbreaking breaks your warranty.

- If Apple decides to release an update soon to implement MMS, then it wouldn't last very long.

What do you guys(or gals :p) think about jailbreaking?

EDIT: If a Mod can please move this thread to the iPhone Hacks section, i forgot to make it there....

When apps cost $75 and arent worth it hell ya. Aside from that, I think if you really like to customize sure. If not why bother, youll have to deal with wiping the phone if you ever need support and its a hassle for something you dont use.

Well I used to want to jailbreak to tether, be able to use a media player (play less inferior video formats), and record vidz.

But the video thing wasn't a huge deal for me.

And now we can tether easily.

The media player thing is something that will probably never happen through the app store (sine Apple finds quicktime so awesome).

Can anyone give me a list of their favorite Jailbroken apps that they recommend me to download =]?
