Hi all,
I am trying to decide between two setups:
- iMac 27" i5 + old MBA 2013 for travel/home (my current travel laptop).
- MBP 2018 13" + LG 5K (selling my current travel laptop to cover some of the extra costs).

As I understand it, the MBP 2018 i5 is actually faster than the 2017 iMac i5, so speed should not be a problem.

But I have a question about how smoothly the MBP/LG setup is for office use. I currently connect my MBA to a monitor, a USB-A RJ-45 ethernet adapter and a Logitech USB keyboard. This is somewhat a pain! Half of the times, I have to reboot the mac since bluetooth has stopped working, and each time I have to unplug an replug the USB-A ethernet adapter for it to be recognized. As I understand it, the problem with the bluetooth connection is well documented, and there is no solution that works in every instance.

My questions:
- Does the LG 5K connect flawlessly every time?
- Are there known issues with the USB-C dongles, when it comes to connection? I know there are thousands of them on the market, and Apple does not produce one with ethernet, which I need.

I just really hope to get rid of this frustrating rutine of unplugging, rebooting and all.

Morten
