Curious, I can't find a source. Is LTE "confirmed" for the most part or are people just assuming because of the iPad etc?

Nothing is confirmed. Everything is an educated guess until an official announcement. There's been no statement from Apple at all regarding the next iPhone and its features.

I don't think it has been confirmed per se, but I feel it is widely expected to be included this time around. After all, the iPad has LTE now and it would stand to reason that the next iPhone will have it as well.

If Apple doesn't include it, there are going to be an awful lot of upset folks.

Not confirmed, but most likely will be . Apple likes to make sure newer technology like the 4G LTE is small and efficient enough before putting into production. As note, it does take up a lot more battery than 3G so I'm sure they devised a plan to soup up the battery aspect as well so it is at least as good as the 4s, if not better

Verizon stated a while back there would be no new smartphones without LTE. I would say it is confirmed the next iPhone will have LTE.

Yeah, I think that's a pretty big factor. If you go into a Verizon store right now they almost act like the iPhone doesn't exist because it doesn't have LTE.

If Apple doesnt bring LTE to the iPhone 5 (which I highly doubt they won't) it will be a mass disappointment for everyone. Even Apple Fanboys will be pissed
