Is Mavericks update through app store a delta download?

Is it a delta download (required files only), or does it download the 5gb+ file completely? If it's a delta download, how much is downloaded when upgrading from ML? I need to determine the estimated download time because I have a crappy internet.

It's about 5.5 GB regardless of previous OS.

New OS X versions are never Delta's, too much changed from the former version, and there are lots of people who want to have a clean install.
