Hey there people,

I've just tried setting up my mbox 2 mini with my new imac and nothing is happening!! The USB light on front doesn't come on and the iMac is not recognising the mbox, however my PC recognises it although the light still still doesn't come on, weird or normal??

So, question is... is the mbox 2 mini compatible with the new iMac (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X, version 10.5.1)?

Thanks in advance for any help! :D

i'd expect it would be, but have you gone to the digi site to check their compatibility pages?

Watch out for compatibility issues with leopard. Im not sure if deigdesign has updated Pro Tool yet. They are usually slow to upgrade software and Pro Tools seems to break very easily between Mac software releases.

Thanks, I found this which kinda explains the problem...

Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Currently Not Compatible

Pro Tools software and hardware are currently not compatible with the Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) operating system, including all versions of Pro Tools 7.4. For the latest information, check the announcement in the News section regarding upcoming support:

Looks like I have to go back to Tiger to get the mbox to work, that sucks!

Cheers!
