Is MBP Ram compatible with iMac

I am going to buy a 1gb stick of ram for my 2ghz 15.4" mbp to bring it from 1.5gb to 2gb and I will have a spare .5gb stick. I was just wondering whether I would be able to put this in my Intel iMac 20inch?
