I just upgraded to Sonoma, which required a restart. After the restart I was moved to the 'new' Outlook with no way to move back. I can't log into one of my imap accounts, which worked before I did the upgrade under the old Outlook.
The first thing I noticed on that account was that it was now setup to route through Outlook.com, not my imap provider. I checked all my other accounts and they have done the same thing. Without asking or providing a way to roll it back. I also lost all of my old mail on one account, which is odd since it is an imap account and that should save it on the server.
It can't be legal for Microsoft to route my mail through their servers without my permission. That is an obvious violation of my privacy.
