Is Microsoft Exchange the same as Microsoft Office Outlook

I use Microsoft Office Outlook at work and was wondering if that is the same thing as Microsoft Exchange or if they work together. I'm just hoping I will be able to use my iphone for my work email. Right now if we want to check it away from work we can log on to the internet to do it, but it would be nice if it just came right to the phone.

Exchange is an email server. Outlook is an email client. You can use Outlook to get email from an Exchange server.

Check with your IT department and see if they support Exchange/ActiveSync, IMAP, or POP. Any of these will allow you to check your email via the iPhone.
