Hi,

Just wanted to know if Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps are free to use for iPhone?

I don't need all the advanced features just the basics.

Please confirm.

Thanks in advance.

why not just install it and find out? You'll quite easily find out during the install process on the app store whether its free or not

Also doesn't the app store show app prices? If there's no price then its free

You can sign up for a free Microsoft 365 account, which will give you access to their free web app version

As I understand (but you should confirm this yourself), that should also allow you to install the iOS version of the Office apps and edit documents on devices with a screen smaller than 10.1 inches, but you won't have some of the advanced app features.

I tested them using my other phone which is an Android and It seems like that I don't get any nagging messages asking me to purchase a subscription plan.

I guess in order to use the advanced features, then yes, you need a subscription plan.

Like I mentioned, I don't need the advanced features. The basics are good enough.

Thank you.

I downloaded a Test.docx file and looks like I can edit and save the Test.docx file.

See attached images.
