I'm planning to use an update from my family plan to get the iPhone 5. It is a normal, non-smartphone currently.

When I go to add the iPhone to this line, is it going to force me to add mobile share? I ask because I don't want to lose the unlimited data on my phone and my dad doesn't want to lose his a la carte plan either?

What will happen when I go to put this iPhone on the line? Will it cancel out my unlimited and my dad's a la carte plan?

Okay, when you order an upgrade, that LINE - read again - that LINE is now a 2 year line. They could care less what phone is on that line. Or any other line. You could throw the Iphone in the trash and put a flip phone on all of them.

If you are going to move that new phone to a line that already has unlimited,it will still have unlimited.

The line that temporarily had data can revert back to non data.

Does AT&T still offer individual data plans for family lines?
