Im not entirely sure where to post this but i've used several MSN prorams on my mac, none seem to be able to connect. I tried aMSN, and Adium, both HAVE worked perfectly in the past, bt today neither of them will connect. are the servers down or something? I didnt see anyone asking or mentioning this elsehwere so I figured I should ask.

I'm not able to sign in with Microsoft Messenger 7.

It's telling me that the password is wrong.

Works fine with web messenger and on Windows / other sites that use the password.

I've noticed this too with Adium and the official Mac MSN messenger.
I tried disabling my firewall and it worked for a bit, but then it broke again.

It's currently working now, but gets very annoying when it won't connect.

This happens using both my G5 running Leopard and G3 Pismo running Panther.

Mine stopped working for a while. . I thought it was something I'd done lol. Restarted and now it's fine again.

Mine just comes up instantly that i am not connected to the internet, and amsn says connecton refused. Glad to see its not just me, thought I had been blocked for some reason. I have been on another forum and told that The default IM port setting for MSN is no longer working, and that I need to Open up Port 1863 TCP/UDP on your router or firewall.

But I dont know ow to do this, can anyone help? I an using wireless and a digi box n the UK?

Thanks

Ian

MSN is down here for me as well on both my iMac and iBook. Glad to know I'm not the only one having this problem.

I checked the MSN Service Status page and according to that MSN is perfectly fine but I have a hunch someone got lazy and didn't update that page. They're probably running some maintenance or something on their end that's crippled a few accounts for the time being.
