Is my battery dead?

I put in a CD at full charge and half way through my installation (about 5 mins) the machine turned itself off, not even sleep...

I have now restarted but get an odd reading from istat pro...

I am going to simply pull out the plug when my installation has finished but has anyone got any other suggestions?

Yet I pulled out the chord and its running the same (if not slightly better) and I'm still getting my 1hr:20mins battery!

Have you tried the battery update?
