ive done it every once in awhile since i read on here it helps the battery last longer but looks like it hasnt worked.

Over 600 cycles and you're still above 60% health?

Dude your battery isn't only not terrible, it's holding out amazingly well!

For future reference, if you want to take a grab of just an app window not a screen shot, press command+shift+4 then the spacebar. The cursor will change to a camera icon and you can then 'photograph' the window you want.

For comparison, my battery is at 364 cycles and 93% health, and this is only because I have taken careful care to keep it maintained. I have a friend who's MacBook Pro has only 272 cycles and it's hovering at 85% health.

Always give it time to trickle charge (when the icon is a power plug but the LED still orange) and drain it dead at least once a month.

And when I say drain it dead, I mean 0mAh dead. Keep using it until it cuts out; don't let it sleep, and when it's empty leave it to stand for half an hour or so before you begin charging, and charge it all the way back up. Then just use it perfectly normally for the rest of the month.

Would you say my battery life is amazing or what??

Seems to me like my battery is doing pretty damn good..
