Is my blackbook dying?

I left it on the charger on the carpet all day.....probably a total of 14 hrs. I had simply closed it when i was done the night before. When I go to open it up....it wouldnt wake up. Pressed enter, ran my finger across the touch pad.....it still wouldnt wake up. The fans were running also and it was fairly hot on the bottom. I ended up restarting by pressing the pwr button and when it came back on......it started to load, played the apple sound, then it reloaded again....the apple sound played again and it loaded fine. Was it hung because it was hot?

I think it will be fine. But you should check if it has all lastest updates and air vent is clean. Sometimes Macbooks could be crazy with sleep function.
