I have an old iPhone SE (the original one).

Recently I have noticed that when I plug it into a charger (3 different chargers), the phone might display the bolt in the battery on the upper-right corner for a few seconds, and then the bolt disappears, which means it's no longer charging. I might have to unplug and plug the phone back in several times before the bolt doesn't disappear and the phone starts charging for real.

This morning, the situation got worse. I plugged my phone into a charger, the bolt was showing the whole time, but the battery life kept decreasing anyway! It decreased from 35% down to 21% in 5 minutes, while connected to the charger and the bolt showing in the battery icon. It was like the phone wouldn't take any charge. Then I got in my car to go to work, and the car charger couldn't charge the phone at all (the bolt was being displayed), but at least the charge wasn't decreasing - it stayed stuck on 21% for 15 minutes. Finally after 15 minutes, the charge started increasing. Now I'm at work and my work charger has my phone up to 55% charged.

So first of all, I know that it's time to replace my battery, as the Battery Health in the settings says 81%.

But even after I replace the battery, that won't fix the charging port problem, will it? Even if it has a new battery, the charging port might not think it's connected to a charger, and I'll have to unplug and replug it in several times. Or the charging port might not transfer any charge to the battery. Is the charging port something that can be replaced?

I'd suggest replacing the battery and clean out the charging port with a toothpick to remove any lint or other pocket debris that may have accumulated.
