Is this possible? I've had it for about a month now and I am amazed how fast the computer runs now. When I first installed the SSD I was getting anywhere from 265-270 write and 490-500 read. Now I am getting these numbers after about a month....

Maybe the GC feature is enabling this SSD to run past the manufacture specs.
 
Those numbers are within the margin of error. I'd say you just got lucky with those numbers that time. Or perhaps there was a little more I/O going on when the original tests were being done. SSD performance can either stay constant or get worse depending on various factors, but speedups don't generally occur, unless it had already gotten worse.
