Unfortunately I have just dropped my iPhone 13 Pro and I didn’t actually crack or scratch or anything my Face ID seems to of stopped working,

I have turned my phone on and off, reset it, turned Face ID off completely and tried the setup again it’s just not detecting my face at all

I am at work at the moment so I can’t do a lot but would a factory reset work? Or is it a hardware issue when it’s been dropped that can’t be fixed, will I need to get it serviced? Or claim on my phone insurance for a new handset?

Thanks everyone

Contact Apple they will send you a link and can tell if its software or hardware, TBH it sounds like a hardware issue after the fall. If you have Apple care they will replace it and put a hold on your card until they receive the old one back. I take it its all backed up in the cloud, or on a Mac so you wont loose any data should the worse come to the worst?

I am experiencing the exact same thing. I dropped mine a couple feet with an Otterbox case on it and it doesn't work. I fear it's a hardware issue but am going to call Apple. Let me know what you find out.

So I have news….

I did a factory reset and my Face ID was ok when it came back on!

During the setup was absolutely fine

Thank god for that!
