The other day I decided to restore my phone.. After it was done, I got the screen that says my phone is unlocked...

It's a 5/16GB/blk....

I think that site is messed up and says everyone is unlocked. I checked 3 iPhone 5s and they all said unlocked.

The iTunes message is a lot more interesting though. You bought this subsidized from AT&T?

Yeah... I pre-ordered from the AT&T website and it got delivered on the 21st.... It was my upgrade...

Interesting.
So you bought it under contract?
If itunes is giving you that message then somehow it is unlocked.
Did you purchase an IMEI unlock from an online seller?

Yeah.. I signed my life away for another 2 years with AT&T...

And nope, I never purchased any codes from any website....

I have a 32gb Sprint iPhone 5 and just used that site and it said its unlocked...is that possible? Are there any unlocked Sprint iPhone 5's?

Not unless you ask Sprint to unlock it for international use.
It wont work with any other carrier in the US.
And as you can tell that site above is not reliable at all.
You got better odds when flipping a coin:)

Im just a little dubious in inputting the imei number of my iphone into a site i don't know or trust.

Id rather just slip in another nano sim to check it out.

:)

I never get that unlocked message and mine is unlocked. Weird...

I never got that message either with my Verizon phone either, but it is unlocked according to Verizon.

I think that web site needs to fix their site. They are trying to to sell an unlocking service, but according to their site, every phone is already locked. :p
Hard to make any money!

I got the same message after I got my iPhone 5 unlocked. Basically, yes, your iPhone is unlocked. Be happy. :)
