my other phone is iPhone 5s. Is it unlocked and I can use it on other carriers if I got it at Verizon store but then I got a replacement phone from Apple?

It should be unlocked. The main way to know for sure is to try another carrier's SIM in it and see.

Does this mean if I currently have another iPhone 6S but if I want unlocked phone then I could possibly get replacement phone and give the one I bought from Verizon? Because I want my phones to be unlocked

Your iPhone 6S purchased from Verizon is already GSM unlocked and will work with any compatible GSM SIM card. Getting a replacement phone through Apple doesn’t change anything. Apple replaces the iPhone with the exact status phone, unlocked replaced with unlocked, locked with locked.

Does that mean it should also work with at&t and T-Mobile?
