I have a 2012 non-retina MBPro. It is able to charge the battery but will not turn on. I tried all of the typical troubleshooting such as resetting the NVRAM and the SMC. Neither worked. So next, I pulled the battery and tried to power on the device via the power cable. No dice. Disconnected the keyboard and tried to jump via the power pads. Nothing there either. Tried different ram sticks, same thing. So before I throw in the towel, is there anything else I should be trying or is the logicboard on this thing dead?

When my non retina 2012 logic board died it was not even charging. The MagSafe would show faint green LED and it would never charge (or charge too slowly).

I left it charging for a week, it is dead anyways so no loss and it booted with fans on 100% for a few seconds and never booted again.

Yeah that's the puzzling thing. However, even attempts to jump or disconnecting the battery and plugging in the power cable have not worked. So i'm not sure what else I can do.
