Hi!

I re-installed my new MBA M1 yesterday and was finally ready to get my photos back from iCloud and data from OneDrive. Before going to sleep (myself) I started both actions, connected the MBA to power, locked the screen but did not close the lid.

This morning I noted not much happened overnight so I thought maybe it was too much data too process overnight.

I went to the office and just came back only to see that OneDrive copied only 15 GB (of total 100 GB) and that Photos was still chewing on downloading the 20750 photos (none done).

Now these processes are running but I closed Photos until OneDrive is done.

Does the M1 prevent activity when the user is not around or when the screen is locked? If so, is there any way to turn this feature off? Both apps did not show app nap in activity monitor... THANKS!

It seems from lack of answers that I am the only one. Am now 36 hours after my fresh install, OneDrive still needs to do 40 GB and Photos still has to start. Don’t want to go sleeping coz it will take even longer then...
