Hi,

I received my M1 iMac 3 days ago. Everything is well, except I'm noticing that the trackpad is frequently unresponsive for around 1-2 seconds at a time. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have any info on what Apple may be able to do for me in regard to replacing it?

Thanks

Are you using the trackpad wirelessly or plugged in? If I am not mistaken, I have seen a couple posts from new iMac owners mentioning the same thing.

If you are unhappy with the performance or feel there is a hardware defect of some kind, you can return it no questions asked and purchase a new one.

If you contact Apple about the problem, they will have you try several different things. I would give that a shot before returning for another one.

Just got off the phone with them. They had me plug it in, then unplug to essentially have it reconnect. Going to test it out for the rest of the evening/tomorrow morning and then if it continues it they said it won't be a problem to have it replaced since it's been under 14 days since I received it.

Hopefully, it isn't a Bluetooth connection problem. Fingers crossed for you that you don't have any more problems.
