locking up?

is something wrong with my 15" 2.2 2011 mbp?


I added 8g of ram so far thats it, but for some reason if i am on skype and WoW at the same time the entire computer locks up. and i have to hard-restart.


is something going bad with my mac?

Bad RAM

I would try using it with the original memory to see if it still locks up randomly. It could be the case that you happened to buy bad RAM, and if it works with the original RAM, I would call the company that you bought the RAM upgrade from and have it exchanged.

thanks ill have to try them when i get my old box back. thank god i kept the original ram

It's wow. It had done it to me quite a few times. Mostly with chrome open with a few tabs + WoW. Do a fresh install of wow, fixed it for me. Tho I stopped playing it about a week or two after but it never happened again. Also check the Mac Support on the wow forums, you're not the only one with this issue.
