I purchased a 17" MBP about a yr ago but am not sure whether is it a HDD or SSD. I went to "About this Mac" but I can find the description (maybe I missed it). So I went to look for the spec online and it appear there are 2 versions.

Can anyone tell me how do I confirm this (besides asking my vendor).

Thanks

Go to 'About this mac' from the Apple menu and then select 'more information' and read the entries under Serial-ATA in the hardware section.

There will be entries for your disk/SSD and DVD drive here. You should see AppleSSD here if you have the latter
