So I have a 15 in MBP and according to iStat it is idling at 60 degrees C and I'm not doing anything except safari (nothing intense MR and facebook) and i have itunes and mail open, but not playing music, in the background. Should my MBP really be that hot? I mean it feels pretty warm on my lap, and I can deal with it, I'm just wondering if it really should be that hot and if the heat may cause a problem.

Thanks!

Edit: forgot to mention it's the new MBP

get smcfancontrol and run your fans at 4000 rpm constantly and see if that drops the temps. mine runs hot too and i do that and now it runs cooler. i'm watching a video in HD and posting and it's at 49 C right now.
