I just bought my first Mac - a 2.4/8/256 Haswell 13" rMBP. I love the OS but I'm having issues with flash bogging down my system.
I know flash for Mac generally sucks, but I'm wondering if what I am experiencing is typical or if something might be wrong with mine?
Whenever I stream a Twitch.tv stream my laptop slows down so much with 150-200% CPU usage (in both Chrome and Safari) and gets really really hot. The battery drains really fast, like 3-4 hours tops.
I basically can't multi-task while the stream is running because it makes the rest of the OS lag so much.
So is this just typical flash performance? If so is there anything at all that can be done to improve it?
