I did a fresh install of Mac OSX on it and then booted it up from the CD again and did a zero-out. I left about halfway through and when I came back I never had any confirmation that it was done so I did another zero out. Again, I didn't receive confirmation when it finished but I did watch it finish that time.

I guess I'm just paranoid that someone will be able to get something off of it because I used it for so many years and have so many passwords..

So, my question is..is there anything else I should do prior to shipping it off or am I in the clear even if it falls into the wrong hands on ebay?

Thanks.

You completely overwrote every byte with "0"s twice. Nobody is getting anything off that drive via software methods for sure.

:D I know what a zero out is, I just never did one before so I didn't know if it worked.

Just out of curiosity, if you don't use software what other methods are there of getting stuff off?

Something that would cost way more than it is worth. I presume you aren't any sort of multi-millionaire are you?

Going to a Data Recovery service that uses special hardware methods and will charge several hundred dollars. I think you will be okay :D
