Is My TrackPad Messed Up?

Currently my MPB 13" Trackpad is making it very hard to highlight things. I have to literally press down very hard on the track pad in order to highlight something and even than it often stops highlighting for some reason.

I know this problem sounds small but it's annoying.

I'm not sure what I did to mess it up, the only thing I can think of is that at time I used my Mac with wet hands often having to wipe the water of with my shirt or something (but it was never A LOT of water).

When highlighting things I click at the bottom of the trackpad and use the rest to move the cursor. Works fine (even with damp hands). But mine is the multitouch glass one...
