With the new M1 soc, mac mini just became an Apple TV on steroids. I wonder the next Apple TV specs and if it ships with an A14 how much difference would be compared to a mac mini? Or do they ever put M1 into the Apple TV and enable Apple Arcade to go next level?

Also I’m really curious about the pricing of the next gen, I think it wouldn’t be around $199 while a mac mini starts from $699 since spec wise they will be very close.

Next Apple TV will probably have an A14X and launch when the next iPad Pros ship. Don't think its going to replace the HD/4K models, they will still be available. Or maybe the HD is dropped. I think the new Apple TV will be an Apple TV 8K

I'm curious to see whether Apple puts the M1 in the next Apple TV. We expect Apple to use a competitive A series chip but if they wanted to show off the graphic capabilities they are now capable of then perhaps it will be M1. I realise this would be huge overkill for a streaming box.

If Apple silicon is so impressive (as seen on the benchmarks of the just released products) then perhaps Apple decides to produce their own game console to challenge X-Box and Playstation.
