I have iWork 08 and will probably upgrade to 09. I've used Pages and Keynote extensively though never Numbers.

& I'm wondering if Numbers is good for me to keep track of my personal finances?

As of late i've purchased iBank to do my finances but am having a bit of trouble getting used to it; Most likely since i've never owned and looked into keeping track of my own finances.

Essentially what I'm asking is if Numbers can do the job, and if so, easily? And...if so, how?

I haven't used numbers, but I think it's basically Excel. You could use it, but I'd recommend waiting for Quicken Financial Life. I downloaded the beta and it looks VERY neat. If you used Quicken before, fugghetaboutit. This looks nothing like Quicken. It looks more like Finder. It's supposed to be released sometime this year (summer?) so I'd wait for it.

interesting. is the beta available for download?
