Is Open Core permanent?
If I do NVRAM reset will it continue to boot?

I'm have a backup/spare cMP 2010 5,1 and need some clarification.

will it run Catalina and update 10.15.3 to 10.15.x?
will it operate fine with a GTX260 which has not been flashed?
will it boot from pci based SSD?

Why not ask this in the OpenCore thread? You should have better chance to get good answers in there.

It depends on your config. e.g. the RequestBootVarRouting can allow your "boot via OpenCore" survive after NVRAM reset.

OpenCore itself is very GPU independent. Just the boot screen part required the graphic card that has GOP in the ROM.
