is "optimized charging" pointless for someone who is a nurse on different schedule every single day?

example of her schedule from the last week and half:

Monday 7AM-2PM
Tuesday 11AM-6PM
Wednesday 1PM-8PM
Thursday 10AM-4PM
Friday (day off)
Saturday 1AM-8AM
Sunday (day off)
Monday 2PM-10PM
Tuesday (day off)
Wednesday 5AM-noon

She always sleeps according to those schedules and wake up 1 or 2 hours before start of shift.

Probably. I had a month where i had a crazy schedule like that (September, in fact), and i ended up turning it off - some days it would start charging hours too early, and a couple of times it didn’t start charging by the time I woke up.

It does seem to figure out when things repeat (i.e. you wake up earlier Wednesdays than thursdays), and it seemed like it takes into account calendar appointments, so your mileage may vary depending on how wild your schedule gets and whether you have it calendared.

Personally I have never worried about how much I charge my phone or the times. I have done this with pretty much with every phone I have owned and have never had any problems with the battery. Just enjoy the phone and use it however you like.

I have it on and never see a dfference. Maybe that's the point but I wake up in the middle of the night and my phone is charged.
